does anybody else use them?
I got my first pair the other day. I don't know why I never did before, I guess I thought the full chaps would be restricting, somehow.
the full chaps are so worth the investment. the difference is INCREDIBLE! I will never ever ride in anything else again. it helps me stay in position better, I have better feel of the horse, I feel so much more secure!
if you've never tried them. I highly recommend them!

Re: leather chaps
Fri, November 21, 2008 - 12:26 PMOh yeah. I love my chaps. And you'll get good use out of them--I bought a pair, oh, must be about 9 years ago now, and they're still fabulous. I love 'em 'cuz I can go from everyday activities to riding and back to everyday so quickly--just zip on and zip off. And no wearing out expensive riding breeches for everyday riding (I buy cheap jeans). And they were so warm in the winter and even cool in the summer over long shorts. And cactus-proof out here in Tucson. Just the best. Of course, be careful about what you wear underneath. Even with chaps, a thick inseam on your jeans will rub you raw.
