Re: Favorite Horse Quotes
Sun, February 24, 2008 - 8:05 AMRegarding the quote " I help horses with people problems" is a direct quote from Tom Dorrance, who was a major influence on the horse whisperer movie, tho he didn'care for the end result which became the book, he was interviewed by the author...I mety Tom over twenty years ago and spent some time with him, and he was a major influence ...more of his quotes are in his book " True Unity" -

Sun, February 24, 2008 - 11:07 AMWhen they asked Buck Brannamen, who advised on "The Horse Whisperer," if he was the actual horse whisper, he said, "I'm not, and if you meet anyone who says he is, you better hold onto your wallet with both hands." -

Mon, February 25, 2008 - 10:33 AMInteresting...Buck Brannaman's 2006 paperback edition of "Believe" features a cover quote from Nicholas Evans stating "The one who truly inspired me was Buck Brannaman".
...my grasp on my wallet was perhaps not as firm as I'd hoped!

it showed a lack of integrity, and the guy wouldn't put himself in a position to die -
